What is the Press Room?

The Its Buzzing Press Room is where companies submit press releases to get discovered by institutional capital investors. Every release is AI-indexed — meaning signal type, signal strength, and themes are automatically assigned. Approved releases appear in the public directory, the RSS feed, and inside Signal Arc, where 500+ capital investors browse daily intelligence.

Who should use the Press Room?

The Press Room is built for founders, PR teams, and company communicators in the Southeast US. If your company is raising capital, launching a product, hiring a key executive, making an acquisition, or winning an award — submit a release. Institutional investors monitor this feed for exactly these signals.

How to submit a release

  1. 1
    Start with Company Info
Go to /press-room/submit/company. Enter your company name, website, state, industry, and your contact details. This takes about 60 seconds.
  2. 2
    Write your release
Enter a headline (up to 120 characters) and your release body (minimum 150 words). Select the event type — Funding, Product Launch, Executive Hire, Acquisition, Partnership, Award, or Other. If it's a funding announcement, you can add the amount raised and round type. Not sure where to start? Use the AI Improve button to sharpen your draft.
  3. 3
    Choose your distribution tier
Free: AI-indexed, appears in the public directory. Pro ($49): everything in Free, plus your release appears in Signal Arc investor feeds and on your company profile. Premium ($149): everything in Pro, plus priority placement at the top of Signal Arc feeds and a direct email to 500+ institutional investors.
  4. 4
    Review and publish
Preview exactly how your release will appear to investors — including the AI-assigned signal type, strength rating, and extracted themes. When it looks right, click Publish.

What happens after you publish?

Free releases: AI indexing runs within 5 minutes, then your release appears in the public directory and sitemap. Pro and Premium releases: submitted for editorial review (typically under 2 hours), then distributed to Signal Arc investor feeds. Premium releases also trigger a direct email to 500+ capital investors. All releases are included in the RSS feed (/press-room/feed.xml) and AI discovery endpoints, making them findable by AI crawlers, journalists, and search engines.

Claiming your company profile

After submitting a release, you can claim your company profile at /press-room/claim/[your-company-slug]. Claiming links all your past and future releases to a verified profile, creates a company press page that shows your full release history, and connects your company to the It's Buzzing business directory and Buzz Pins map. To claim, enter your work email — we'll send a verification link.

Your founder dashboard

Once you've verified your email, your founder dashboard at /press-room/account shows all your releases, their status (pending review, live, rejected), view counts, and Signal Arc impression numbers. You can delete pending releases, share live releases, and submit new ones from one place.

AI signal classification — what does it mean?

Every release is automatically classified by our AI into one of several signal types: Funding (SEC filing), Product Launch, Executive Hire, Acquisition, Hiring Spike, Grant Award, or News Mention. It also assigns a signal strength from 1.0 to 5.0 based on the significance of the announcement, and extracts up to 5 themes (e.g. 'Series B', 'Expansion', 'Capital Raise'). These classifications are what make your release discoverable inside Signal Arc — capital analysts filter their feeds by signal type and threshold.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does editorial review take for Pro and Premium releases?
Typically under 2 hours during business hours. We review every release before it goes live in Signal Arc to maintain quality for our capital investor subscribers.
Can I edit my release after submitting?
You can delete and resubmit while your release is still in pending review. Once it's live, updates create a new version (your original URL is preserved for SEO).
What makes a release get rejected?
Insufficient detail (under 150 words), content that isn't a genuine press release (purely promotional, spam, duplicate, or off-topic), or inappropriate language. We'll email you the reason and invite you to revise and resubmit.
Do I need an account to submit?
No. You can submit a release without an account. We'll create one for you automatically using your email address when you publish. To access your founder dashboard and claim your company profile, click the verification link we send after your first submission.
Can I submit releases for a company based outside the Southeast US?
Yes. The Press Room accepts releases from companies anywhere. Signal Arc currently emphasizes Southeast US signals, so Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, Mississippi, and Kentucky companies get the most direct capital investor visibility.
Can an AI assistant submit releases on my behalf?
Yes. The Its Buzzing Agent Platform supports a press.room.submit scope. Create an agent token at /agent-platform with that scope, and your AI assistant can submit releases via the MCP tool API at /api/v1/agent/press-room/submit.
How is this different from PRNewswire or BusinessWire?
We're laser-focused on the Southeast US capital markets audience — PE firms, VCs, lenders, and family offices actively monitoring private company signals. Our AI signal classification means your release doesn't just sit in a feed; it's categorized, strength-rated, and surfaced to analysts who are specifically looking for what you announced.
